Corneal Remodelling LASIK
– A Novel Vision Correction Method by WellC 


Poor corneal shape causes dry eyes, vision irregularities and keratoconus regardless of before or after LASIK. However, corneal shape cannot be corrected by any of the conventional LASIK methods.
Corneal Remodelling LASIK is a new technology that solves the shortcomings of conventional LASIK. It is a surgical vision correction method that enables corneal shape correction along with LASIK.

 2015: First patent application for Corneal Remodelling Patents approved in Korea, USA, China, Japan, Germany, UK and France

 2022: Certified as New Excellent Technology (NET) by Ministry of Health and Welfare

 2023: Certified as World-Class Product of Korea by KOTRA

 2024: Second patent application for Corneal Remodelling Patents filed in Korea and PCT

The cornea maintains its shape with the interaction of intraocular pressure (IOP),
and it is a semi-solid (gel) material with elasticity that causes the thicker part to move down and the thinner part to rise like a seesaw.
  Corneal Remodelling LASIK uses the seesaw effect to provide superior LASIK results.

Poorly shaped corneal protrusions, such as keratoconus, cause tears to dry easily, diffuse reflection of light to worsen, severe dry eyes and severe vision irregularities. When corneal shape is corrected along with vision, using Corneal Remodelling LASIK, these complications can be solved and clear emmetropic vision is achievable.

1. Treatment of keratoconus 

2. Treatment of postoperative LASIK complications (severe dry eyes and irregular astigmatism)

3. Vision correction (LASIK/LASEK) for myopia, hyperopia, and astigmatism with minimal side effects
